About a week before Christmas the Willamette Valley experienced a horrible ice storm. Fortunately, it made for some beautiful pictures of nature covered in ice. Unfortunately, it also made for a limb to come piercing through our bedroom ceiling in the middle of the night.
We awoke at about 4 am to the sound of two very loud crashes. After figuring out that I wasn't really dreaming, we determined that our house was not the safest place to be. By this time the power had gone out. So with the help of a light from David's I-touch we gathered the kids and some blankets and headed to my parents house. Lucia was very worried that Santa would not be able to find us. I assured her he would.
The next day David went home to survey the damage, and with the help of my Dad and some other guys from the ward they were able to patch up the roof so it would not leak. Thanks guys!

Great pictures!!! It is about time!
I love the picture of the ice on the rose - such an unusual combination!
I referenced David in a blog post with a link to your blog and a picture I stole off of it. Just thought I'd better let you know!
